Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer – Drainage, H&H (Hydrology & Hydraulics) to support our engineering and land development teams. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and analyzing drainage systems, stormwater management infrastructure, and flood mitigation strategies. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of real estate development projects while gaining exposure to all phases of the land development process.
Responsibilities:
Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for stormwater management, detention, and conveyance systems
Design drainage infrastructure for residential and commercial site development projects
Prepare drainage reports, technical memoranda, and permitting documentation
Collaborate with civil, geotechnical, and environmental consultants to integrate drainage solutions into site layouts
Perform field assessments, topographic analysis, and site drainage evaluations
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including FEMA, TCEQ, and county drainage criteria
Assist with floodplain analysis and mitigation design for development in flood-prone areas
Support plan preparation for land development permits and approvals
Work closely with project managers and senior engineers to coordinate timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas

Strong understanding of IBC, ACI, AISC, and Texas building codes

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Superintendent with a background in underground utilities and an eagerness to expand into vertical commercial construction. This role will lead daily field operations on land development projects while also playing a key part in establishing and growing a dedicated field team for future vertical builds. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience, proactive problem-solving, and the leadership needed to guide subcontractors, enforce quality, and meet aggressive schedules without compromising safety or integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Underground Utilities (Primary Focus)
Supervise daily utility work: water, sewer, storm drainage, gas, electric, and telecom installations.
Coordinate inspections, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
Maintain utility installation schedules and updates using MS Project or equivalent.
Lead and enforce OSHA-compliant safety practices and conduct weekly toolbox talks.
Ensure compliance with civil plans, utility profiles, and municipal requirements.
Document field activity daily through reports, logs, and photographs.
Vertical Construction (Growth Focus)
Assist with preconstruction planning for commercial building scopes.
Help assemble and manage future field teams for shell, core, and MEP trades.
Coordinate site work with vertical structure sequencing.
Mentor assistant superintendents and field staff as part of a growing vertical operations team.
Enforce schedule milestones, quality control, and project documentation as vertical work ramps up.
General Duties
Interface clearly with owners, architects, engineers, municipalities, and inspectors.
Generate punch lists, validate subcontractor change orders, and manage labor forecasts.
Lead weekly subcontractor meetings to review safety, scheduling, quality, and logistics.
Maintain high ethical standards and act as a field ambassador for Majestic Developers.
Qualifications
8+ years of construction field experience; 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing utility infrastructure.
Strong working knowledge of horizontal and vertical construction, including sitework, utilities, structural concrete, MEP, and finishes.
Commercial construction experience is required. Residential/multifamily-only backgrounds will not be considered.
Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and reading construction documents (civil, architectural, MEP).
Experience working with city and county inspectors, permitting departments, and utility franchise providers.
Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
OSHA 30-hour certification (preferred or required within 60 days).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead in high-pressure environments.
Willingness to work extended hours during critical phases of construction.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects from concept through completion across diverse types: office, retail, hospitality, multifamily, mixed-use, and more.
Draft and review construction documents, wall sections, and technical details using Revit and AutoCAD.
Oversee junior staff while also contributing directly to drawing production.
Apply knowledge of commercial and wood-frame construction methods.
Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, civil, etc.) to ensure accurate, integrated project sets.
Interpret and apply building codes (IBC, IFC, ADA/TAS, ComCheck, zoning ordinances).
